Compliance Officer
An exciting opportunity has arisen based at Head Office.
We are looking for a Compliance Officer who will have the skills and experience to cover the following duties:-
Ensuring that staff comply with tachograph/transport statutory requirements and keeping the appropriate records.
Ensuring that any non-compliance, customer/staff complaints are reported, investigated and dealt with through procedures.
Ensure communication of any complaints/staff issues/non-compliance to the HR Manager.
Assist the HR Manager with any non-compliance/staff issues where driving/transport staff are concerned (i.e. attend disciplinary hearings as management witnesses).
Communicate any amendments require to the tours planner ensuring that the relevant drivers are available for tours/daytrips.
Support the Transport department where required (i.e. admin/planning support)
Ensuring timely communication in the event of any incidents/accidents and reporting them within the correct procedure.
Ensuring that Tachograph rules and regulations are abided by
Abide by all company policies and procedures as and when briefed and outlined in the staff and drivers handbook and the local authorities codes of conduct.
Ensure that all documented vehicle checks are carried out correctly by you, and records kept for due diligence.
Ensure all activities are carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Procedures and within your health and safety responsibilities
Be available to work within a rota with Transport supervisors for ‘on call’ duties.
To carry out other duties required by the business within the transport remit including driving.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and coordination skills as well as have the ability to promote good team work.

Modern Apprenticeships in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Engineering
Edwards Coaches Ltd are offering high quality Modern Apprenticeships in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Engineering. We are a hugely successful family run company with 85 years history, over 250 staff and 150 vehicles. We have very high standards and are looking for a suitable candidate willing to put in that little bit of extra effort and learn from the best in the industry. We can offer a varied role working on standard vehicles with high specifications including the Welsh rugby team coach. The apprenticeship will offer day release for college work and work based learning up to NVQ Level 3.
The Engineering Modern Apprenticeship is a demanding scheme, which requires analytical skills, a logical mind, numeracy, communication skills, teamwork, good manual dexterity, problem solving skills and the ability to read and interpret diagrams and instructions.
Entry Requirements
Applicants have or expect to achieve GCSE (Grade C or above) in Mathematics, English Language and Science.
Interviews will take place in August.
Selected candidates for interview will have to complete an aptitude and trade test as part of the interview process.

Experienced Tour Drivers
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our Llantwit Fardre Office.
We are currently recruiting for permanent full time tour drivers.
Hourly Rate – Competitive
Hours of work - Dependent upon Tour & Contract requirements.
The ideal candidate must have a current, full, clean PCV license (Category D)
Previous tour driving experience on the Continent is essential.
Candidates must have excellent Communication and Customer skills and be Professional, Polite and Presentable at all times.
