Two Edwards Coach drivers contracted by National Express – Brent Humphries and Gerwyn Roberts, have been shortlisted for “Driver of the Year” by the select committee of the National Express Operator Awards. Edwards stated that we are indeed proud and honoured to have two of their drivers shortlisted from 2000 National Express drivers working in the UK. What an achievement by a family run award winning coach company from South Wales who this year are celebrating 90 years in the travel business.
Both drivers were nominated by their managers Stewart Isaac and Simon Davies due to their outstanding Customer Services Skills which they believe helped save a passenger’s life when taken ill on board the National Express coach travelling from Swansea to London.
Not only did the drivers receive thanks from the patient but they also received numerous letters from fellow passengers complimenting them on their quick reaction and composure when applying vital First Aid treatment.
The award ceremony will take place on Thursday 19th March 2015 in Coventry and Edwards Coaches are confident that both drivers will come back with awards.

Having recently enjoyed the recent holiday (Donegal Delights) I should like to make one comment which in my view would make it an even better holiday. I refer to the guided tour to the National Park. On the way we stopped in Glenties which is of little interest from a tourist point of view.. The town of Dungloe would make a far better stopping place as it was on the way to the National Park anyway. Dungloe now houses the Daniel O’Donnell Museum which is fast becoming a major tourist attraction. (Shearings already include it on their itinerary to the National Park). As Daniel O’Donnell has thousands of fans in South Wales, as witnessed by his sell-out concerts, I am positive the tour would become even more popular than it is at present.
Mr Jones, Thank you for you comments on your recent holiday to Donegal. I will pass this feedback onto the contracts team,
Kind Regards, Lloyd
