Wales’ very own 5th generation family run business ‘Edwards Coaches’ stole the show at the glittering awards ceremony at the Hilton Hotel, Birmingham. The awards dinner is the highlight of the transport industry with over 800 guests of the who’s who in the transport industry attending.
Edwards Coaches was at the Route One Awards 2016 Ceremony on 2nd November 2016 to receive the award and in front of industry guests and said ‘We are extremely proud and honoured to be selected as winner of this highly prestigious and very much recognised award, within the coaching industry. The award is a true testament to all the 570 staff that work tirelessly 24/7 making sure our customers experience a safe, reliable and superb value for many transport solution’.
The guiding principle of Routeone is that the awards are for the industry, by the industry and excellence is the byword when identifying and rewarding the best operators. The judges commented that Edwards Coaches won this category as they were the “Best of the cream of British coach operators and set standards for others to aspire to”. This is indeed a remarkable statement for the family run business from the small town of Pontypridd.
Edwards stated that by recruiting and training the best staff, it has allowed the business to develop and grow into the award winning company that it is today. Any business is only as good as its staff and we always knew that we had the best in the business. A huge team effort from top to bottom.
