Excursion 1
HATFIELD HOUSE, PARK & GARDENS
Hatfield House is steeped in history as was built by Robert Cecil in the grounds where Queen Elizabeth I spent much of her childhood. The Marble Hall has an extravagant oak carving and remains much as when it was built in 1611. There are various gardens to explore including the Old Palace Garden and the Woodland Garden.
Excursion 2
KNEBWORTH HOUSE & HARLOW
Knebworth House boasts a romantic exterior with turrets, domes and gargoyles but has stood for longer than this Victorian decoration suggests with the red brick house dating back to Tudor times. The Gardens at Knebworth are a delight throughout the season and include a 28 acre formal garden with a maze, colourful borders and a wilderness area. We'll also call into Harlow the UK's only sculpture town with over 100 public sculptures on display
Excursion
ST ALBANS
Excursion to St Albans whose Cathedral dominates the city's skyline from every angle. Other attractions here include the Clock Tower which dates back to 1405 and the Verulamium Museum, a award-winning museum displaying objects from the Roman City of Verulamium.
