LEIGHTON HALL & CARNFORTH
Today we visit Leighton Hall which has been a much loved family home and the centre of an agricultural estate since medieval times. Discover the secrets of one of England's most famous furniture making families and enjoy the beautiful gardens. We'll also call into the market town of Carnforth whose railway station featured in the most iconic scenes of the 1945 film Brief Encounter.

RUFFORD OLD HALL & SOUTHPORT
Excursion to Rufford Old Hall, a fine Tudor house and colourful garden home to five centuries of Lancashire and Hesketh family history. From here we make our way to the coastal resort of Southport for free time.

LANCASTER
Enjoy a half day excursion to the historic town of Lancaster which offers a daily market. St George's Quay and its Custom house on the River Lune offer a reminder that Lancaster was once a busy port handling more tonnage than Liverpool.
